hey, my mum was having a clear-out today and decided to throw away her old society books (she ain't in now...yippee).. i was helping and came across an old 'paradise lost - paradise regained' book that we used to study as a family when i was just a nipper.. it's in remarkably good condition considering five kids used to man-handle it about 30 years ago.
it wasn't a children's book really, but the simple language used, to appeal to all sorts of laymen, made it suitable for that purpose.. scanning through i came across loads of pictures that really brought memories flooding back, i'll post some more when i get the time.. somebody recently posted a thread about the jw belief that dinosaurs were about at the same time as humans.
well the picture on the inside cover shows a dinosaur (top left) wandering about the desert and people too.

Check the Aid book, under Flood. It mentions there that the dinosaurs died out, at the latest, at the time of the flood.

Eman, as a born--into-it, pushing 40, I have the same questions. I notice most of the ones that are replying in the affirmative to your question are much younger(I'm looking at you, Tink!!)
So many things that have been missed, most of which are simply no longer attainable. A person has grown up with all the promises dangled in front of them, only now to realize what a fantasy it all was. Yes, you can go on, you can start over. But how do you reconcile to the fact that arguably your very best years were wasted, and now they are gone? How do you cope with the idea that you are not going to cheat death, you are getting older, that this life is all there is?????

at the recent district convention, it was hammered home time and again.. at the meetings, it is stated from the platform frequently.. the media is a tool of satan and we shouldn't believe everything we read about jws in the media.. however, in the wts' mind, only the negative media should not be believed.
but, if the media is positive, it will soon be printed in a wt magazine or read from the platform at a kingdom hall near you.. ----------------------------------------------.

Ok about Malawi. Those accounts are awful, and the idea that the org was somehow responsible is disturbing. Up until now, it has been difficult to contact individuals working for the Society, but now at least Mr William E Duquette Jr ([email protected]) has an email address. I see how it is made up of his first initial, then the first seven characters of his last name. I wonder if anyone else there has an email address? I wonder if it would be similar?
